David Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary
The David Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary is one of the most interesting places to visit while in Nairobi. The sanctuary hosts orphaned and abandoned baby elephants from various regions in Kenya and raises the baby elephants until they are 2 – 3 years old before the process of re-integrating them back into the wild with the other wild elephants begins. Visitors to the sanctuary are wlecome to foster the baby elephants at their discretion where funds raised from the adoption are used to cater for their care in the sanctuary.
Giraffe Center
Giraffe Center is the most popular attraction site in Nairobi and a must visit while in the city. It is a conservation area for endangered giraffes in Kenya. On visiting the center, you get the chance to feed the giraffes which offers amazing one-on-one interactions with giraffes at a close range making it an unforgettable experience. By visiting the center, you get to support a noble cause of preserving the giraffe population in Kenya.
